Bachelor of Dental Surgery Programme

The Institute is offering Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) a four year programme followed by one year compulsory internship. The Central Government & The Dental Council of India (DCI) has sanctioned intake of 100 students per annum.

Course Structure

I Year

General Human Anatomy and Histology, Physiology, Bio-Chemistry, and Dental Materials.

II Year

General Pharmacology and Therapeutics, General Pathology and Microbiology, Dental Anatomy and Histology, Pre-Clinical Conservative Dentistry, Pre-Clinical Prosthodontics, Crown and Bridgework

III Year

General Medicine, General Surgery, Oral Pathology, Preventive and Community Dentistry

IV Year

Oral Medicine and Radiology, Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery, Periodontics, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Prosthodontics, Pedodontics and Orthodontics

Eligibility for Admission

  • Candidates with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology in Intermediate/ISC or equivalent examination from any recognised university/ board are eligible to take admission to the BDS programme.
  • For SC/ST & OBC, the minimum marks required for admission shall be 40% in lieu of 50% for general candidates.
  • Admission to the four years BDS course shall be through a competitive examination (CPMT) held by the Government of UP. Constitutional reservation for the admission to this course shall also be controlled by the Govt.
  • There is provision for direct admission also to the course under Management Quota seat as per rules. Admission to foreign nationals is also available through NRI/Management Quota.
